The name "Manzelejepun" – House of Frangipani – is a combination of a Persian (Manzel) word and a Balinese (jepun) word because of the different varieties of frangipani you will see in the garden. Frangipani flowers are always used in the preparation of the "banten" (daily religious offerings in Bali).
