general: ALIYAH LODGE is situated on the main road of Cairo Baharya Oases , about 350 Kms from Cairo & 4 Kms before Baharyas main village . You will be startled by the quietness and the splendid view, overlooking the unique palm trees gardens , natural hot spring about 35 °C, the English mountain and the distant sand dunes of the Sahara. Construction and staff Aliyah lodge is built on the style of the famous architecture Hassan Fathi , we just changed building material from mud brakes to natural stones. Our Lodge is built in a way to keep the air well circulated during the hot season, the rooms have high ceilings . The entire construction of Aliyah Lodge has been carried out by local craftsmen Our staff is 90 % from the local village Only local and natural materials are used No air condition using at aliyah lodge . Bed linen and all textile materials in our Lodge are natural and grown and manufactured in Egypt. Water Tap water is filtered with Hi-tech-filters and offered to our guests in glass bottles for drinking purposes. This way we reduce huge amounts of waste of PET-bottles, minimize transportation costs and CO2 emissions. We drilled our own water which now feeds our natural pool with warm water of about 35°C. The overflow of the pool is directed in a canal system to our farms, where we grow organic vegetable and fruits . Waste Waste is reduced to a minimum, separated and most of it recycled.
